Bronze D of E assessment on Exmoor
This weekend I have been working for Somerset Adventures supervising a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition for students from Kings of Wessex School in Cheddar.
We had 19 groups of students out on exmoor for the two day expedition. The groups started and finished at various points but all camped at Sparkhayes campsite in Porlock.
The weekend went surprisingly well considering the number of groups and the varied routes they were taking. Even the weather played ball and sundays forecast rain stayed at bay.
I spent misty of the weekend driving between checkpoints and running around the moor checking up on groups. On day two Robin asked me to run the Exford Collection point where 8 groups were finishing hence the last photo. It pays to be organised sometimes!
